In partnership with the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Educational Association (MWCEA), MASI wishes to recognize and honor those Mississippi employers who are considered outstanding among their peers regarding their commitment to a viable workers compensation. This recognition, Mississippi’s “Outstanding Employer in Workers’ Compensation” is awarded twice a year – at the annual conferences of both MASI and the MWCEA.

Nominations of companies encouraged. Recipients of this award are those Mississippi companies that:

• understand and appreciate the value of a viable workers’ compensation program;

• have a good focus on safety;

• regularly try to do “the right thing” regarding payments to be made; and

• diligently strive to accomplish the goals of facilitating return to work post-injury.

The deadline for nominations of outstanding companies is March 1 of each year. To nominate someone, please use the nomination found here.

All nominations should be submitted to Nancy Flint, with Anderson, Crawley & Burke, at nflint@acblaw.com.

MWCEA and MASI will be jointly involved in the development of the criteria for award recognition as well as in the promotion and selection of award recipients each year. A joint committee with representatives from each organization is charged with establishing the criteria, soliciting, and evaluating nominations, and recommending one or more recipients to the Board of Directors for each organization.
